Reggie Washington - Rainbow Shadow - A Tribute to Jef Lee Johnson

Acteur clé de la révolution Modern Jazz des années 80 et 90, celui qui a notamment collaboré avec Steve Coleman, George Duke, D'Angelo, Esperanza Spalding, Erykah Badu et Jill Scott s'installe sur notre scène avec le répertoire de son troisième album intitulé Rainbow Shadow où il salue la mémoire de celui qu'il décrivait comme sa " boussole " : son maitre et ami Jef Lee Johnson, disparu en 2013.
Révélé au public par cet hommage flamboyant, le frère du célèbre batteur Reggie Washington séduit notamment par son énergie spontanée et ultra communicative.

Bassist Reggie Washington became known touring, recording and performing withSteve Coleman, George Duke, D'Angelo, Esperanza Spalding, Erykah Badu et Jill Scott. In 2015 he has delivered a very fine jazz album in tribute to his friend the late guitarist Jef Lee Johnson. With a natural and contagious energy, Reggie Washington re-imagines the repertoire of this accomplished musician who collaborated with artists such as George Duke, Al Jarreau, D'Angelo and even Aretha Franklin.
