Don't Forget Pieranunzi" lui permet d'emprunter une passerelle entre le lyrisme contrôlé de la musique classique et l'improvisation libre d'un jazz ouvert, avec des influences d'Amérique latine qu'il a sillonnée plusieurs années comme reporter.

Ancien élève du C. I. M. et de la Bill Evans Piano Academy, Philippe Zygel, marqué aussi par des racines juives irano-polonaise, s'est entouré de Cédric Saville à la contrebasse et Nicolas Signat à la batterie, qui comme lui se sont lancés à l'origine dans le jazz en purs autodidactes. Invité spécial, David Florsch ajoute une touche de bel canto au saxophone.

With his trio escaping from traditional swing style in order to create a colorist atmosphere, Philippe Zygel, a classical formed pianist, converted to jazz, pays tribute to Italian maestro Enrico Pieranunzi. He explores the bridge between the controlled lyrism of classical music and the free improvisation of jazz, with influences from Latin America, a region he's traveled across as a press reporter.

Former student of the Bill Evans Piano Academy, Philippe Zygel, who bears as well the mark of Jewish origins from Iran and Poland, plays with Cedric Saville on double bass and Nicolas Signat on drums, who like him discovered jazz music learning at first by themselves. As a special guest, David Florsch brings a 'bel canto' touch on saxophone.
