Née aux États-Unis, Rhoda Scott, fille aînée d'un pasteur itinérant, a grandi, rappelle-t-elle, dans l'ambiance des petites églises noires aux accents des gospels et spirituals. Maîtrise, énergie et timbres épais, Rhoda Scott reste le mythe vivant de l'orgue Hammond. Encerclée de deux monumentales cabines Leslie et aux manettes d'un B3, elle sautille avec sourire pour faire groover ses claviers en assurant un swing "bluesy", aéré et percutant... Avec une cinquantaine de disques à son actif, des concerts à l'Olympia et dans les festivals les plus prestigieux, Rhoda Scott revient avec son nouveau "Movin' Blues" à ses premiers amours le duo orgue batterie qui a fait son succès et sa marque de fabrique.
